LittleBox
Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
The short version: your moments are saved on your iPhone and, with iCloud Sync on, in your private iCloud. We can't see your moments or photos. LittleBox has no account to create, no ads and no advertising trackers. Purchase information is processed separately to unlock Pro.
What LittleBox stores
The boxes you create and the moments, notes, photos and board layouts you save are stored in the app on your iPhone. LittleBox does not send this content to us or store it on our servers.
iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync is on by default. If you are signed in to iCloud, LittleBox also stores your boxes, moments, photos and board settings in your private iCloud so they can appear on iPhones signed in to the same Apple Account. This data uses your iCloud storage and is managed by Apple. We cannot view it.
You can turn iCloud Sync off in LittleBox Settings. The app still keeps your data on your iPhone, but new changes will not sync while it is off. Turning sync off does not remove data already stored in iCloud. If iCloud is unavailable or full, changes remain on your iPhone until syncing can resume.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: only when you choose to take a photo for a moment.
- Photos: the system photo picker lets you choose photos without giving LittleBox access to your whole library. If you allow it, LittleBox can add a copy of photos you take in the app to your Photos library.
- Notifications: for reminders you enable, and for a Pro trial reminder if you start an eligible trial. These notifications are scheduled on your device.
You can change any of these at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Purchases
Apple handles payments through the App Store. A purchase verification service processes an anonymous app identifier, purchase and subscription records, and basic app and device information to unlock Pro. We can see purchase status, but the service does not receive your moments or photos. We do not receive your payment card details.
Backups
LittleBox Data Backup: with Auto Backup on, the app keeps one recent snapshot of your boxes, moments, notes and reminders on your iPhone. It makes a new snapshot when you open LittleBox, at most once a day. You can also make one yourself in Settings → Backup Data. The snapshot is stored inside the app, so deleting LittleBox deletes it too.
Restoring this snapshot replaces your current boxes and moments with the saved version. If iCloud Sync is on, the restored changes can sync to your other devices. The snapshot does not contain copies of the photos themselves; it can bring back only photos whose files are still in LittleBox's storage on that iPhone.
iCloud Sync: this keeps your current data and photos in your private iCloud and up to date across devices. It is not a dated backup: edits and deletions can sync too.
iPhone device backup: iCloud Backup or a computer backup may include LittleBox data, depending on your Apple settings. Restoring a device backup is a separate Apple process; simply reinstalling the app does not restore a device backup.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual moments and boxes in the app. If iCloud Sync is on, those deletions sync to your other devices. Deleting LittleBox removes its local data and in-app backup from that iPhone, but it does not by itself remove data already stored in iCloud. You can manage third-party app data in your iCloud storage through Apple's iCloud settings.
Deleting the app does not cancel a Pro subscription. You can cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. For questions about purchase records, contact us below.
Children
LittleBox does not ask you to provide your name, email address or age to use the app, and it is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how LittleBox handles data, we will update this page and the date above.
